The Medical Grooming Centre (MGC) is part of the PNC Medical Group, which also includes Paws N’ Claws Veterinary Surgery, a Fear-Free vet clinic in Singapore.
PNC Medical Group, including the Medical Grooming Centre, is led by Dr Esther Lam — a passionate veterinarian with a wealth of experience across busy vet practices and charities in the United Kingdom and Singapore.
Dr Esther is one of the few Fear-Free certified veterinarians in Singapore. You can rest assured that the entire practice is run on Fear-Free principles to make your pet’s medical grooming session as comfortable as possible.

Dr Esther Lam
BVMS (Glasgow), MRCVS
Head Veterinarian
Dr Esther graduated in the United Kingdom from the University of Glasgow, where she made it into the Dean’s Scholars list and was awarded with excellence in pharmacology and pathology. She is also a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Dr Esther has worked at PDSA (UK’s leading vet charity) and many busy practices in Singapore. She is passionate about animal welfare and continually strives to ease pets’ discomfort and stress.
With her experience, she has seen and interacted with many pets with extreme anxiety in a clinic setting.
This prompted Dr Esther to take on a Fear-Free certification and she is now leading one of the few Fear-Free clinics in Singapore. Her calm and gentle manner has helped pets feel at ease in the clinic, reducing their anxiety and earned the trust of many patients, even those who hate vets!
Dr Esther strongly believes in Continuous Professional Development and is in the midst of gaining more knowledge on Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Dr Esther’s special interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography and exotics medicine.
Outside of work, Dr Esther enjoys playing the piano, violin and leisure swimming.

Faylinn
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Faylinn’s passion for animals blossomed during the pandemic as she began fostering neonatal kittens and cats, and adopted her husky from the clinic as well. She started volunteering at Paws N’ Claws (our affiliated vet clinic) when it was newly opened, and soon became a dedicated team member of PNC Medical Group.

Faylinn is currently pursuing a Veterinary Degree at the University of Adelaide and often visits both the Medical Grooming Centre and Paws N’ Claws during her holidays to gain knowledge on the technical and diagnostic aspects of veterinary medicine. She is enthusiastic about going the extra mile for clients.
Faylinn also handles the clinic’s administrative, HR and social media matters. Amidst her studies and work commitments, she finds joy in spending time with her dog and five cats at home.

Reuban
Veterinary Nurse
Reuban’s goal is to provide a quality life to all animals. His areas of interest include handling emergency cases adeptly. Reuban has obtained a second diploma in Veterinary Clinical Science, and plans to become a Veterinarian in the future.

Reuban is a certified medic — he was a combat medic during NS as part of the Medical Response Force, where he trained, dealt with, and responded to chemical, biological, and radiological situations.
Outside of work, his hobbies are playing football, spending time with his pet dog, and watching movies.

Kaihong
Patient Care Assistant
Kaihong’s love for animals and passion for veterinary care blossomed when he was serving his National Service in the Police K-9 Unit. He hopes to work with wildlife in the future. His ultimate goal is to interact with as many animal species in the world as possible.

Outside of work, Kaihong’s interests lie in triathlons, rock climbing, and backpacking around the world. One of his personal targets is to complete a full Ironman Triathlon race!

Vincent
Veterinary Nurse
Having been passionate about animals since he was a kid, Vincent enjoys learning new things about them. He is currently pursuing a degree in veterinary tech, with a keen interest in biology and anatomy.

He is constantly brushing up his knowledge and skills, as he likes figuring out how things work. One of Vincent’s more unconventional personal interests lies in taxidermy, as he is intrigued by the concept of memento mori.
In his free time, he is usually trying to cover himself in more ink; spending time with his dog, two cats, and bird; catching up on his games; or endlessly discovering and learning more new things.

Trina
Groomer & Veterinary Nurse
With over a decade of experience as a pet groomer, Trina has dedicated her career to enhancing the well-being of animals. She has pursued courses in pet care, management, and therapeutic massage for dogs, and is working towards her second diploma in veterinary clinical science.

Her passion for animal welfare extends beyond grooming; Trina has volunteered for the Juara Turtle Project, and also engaged with students at Chung Cheng High School to educate them about birds. Additionally, she visited two preschools to teach young children about pet care and the importance of pet grooming.
Trina firmly believes that every pet deserves to be loved and cared for.

KF
Marketing & Admin Executive
KF is a strong advocate for animal welfare, particularly for senior pets. She has been a lead volunteer at dog shelters, rehabilitating and rehoming rescued / abandoned dogs, providing pet hospice care, while managing fellow volunteers.

KF enjoys fostering kitties and feeding the community cats in her neighbourhood. She believes that a Fear-Free environment is vital for every pet’s well-being and recovery.
At Paws N’ Claws and the Medical Grooming Centre, she mainly manages the marketing and administrative tasks. She also helps out with basic veterinary nursing duties when required.
In her free time, KF is an avid gym goer, a spin-cycling enthusiast, and a hiking aficionado. Her dream is to run a pet retirement sanctuary to give senior furkids lifelong care, companionship, and plenty of love during their golden years.
