Fear-Free medical grooming
The Medical Grooming Centre (MGC) is part of PNC Medical Group, which is led by Dr Esther Lam, a Fear-Free certified veterinarian. Our whole team is Fear-Free aligned; we prioritise your furkids’ emotional and physical well-being. We will work with you and guide you through the steps to make the medical grooming visit as Fear-Free and pleasant as possible.
PNC Medical Group also includes Paws N’ Claws Veterinary Surgery, a Fear-Free aligned vet clinic in Yishun and Upper Thomson that welcomes all pets including exotic species. Both the Paws N’ Claws Vet branches in Yishun and Upper Thomson provide comprehensive veterinary services including hospitalisation, surgeries, dental care, x-ray, ultrasound, avian consultation, vaccination, and more.
For skin conditions, mobility issues, anxiety
MGC welcomes dogs, cats, and exotic pets including rabbits and guinea pigs. We are fully equipped with an extensive range of services and facilities to deal with conditions such as skin issues and mobility issues. You may also opt for video consultations with Dr Esther for suitable cases.
To deal with pet skin concerns, we have skin diagnostics available as part of Paws N’ Claws Vet’s veterinary services — including allergy testing, microscopy, infectious or parasitic disease testing, hormonal disease testing, and more.
Who is suited for medical grooming?
Medical grooming may be recommended for animals who:
- Have skin problems and may require regular medical baths;
- Are fractious or potentially aggressive, and thus require sedatives or pre-visit pharmaceuticals (PVPs) to reduce stress and anxiety during grooming;
- Are older or have mobility issues, in which case the groomer needs to exercise more caution during the session.
